June 11th was a big day.
I woke up and went swimming in the lake.
In my camper there is a shower and a toilet.

He made games out of it to keep us interested.

LH Memorial Day Vacation

Over vacation I went to my dad's house and he taught me a new trick with the yo-yo. Daddy did walk the dog and I tried take the dog outside and then we traded yo-yos.
I also got to go to my friend's house. Her name is Stephanie.
I don't really get to see them that often because they live in Ticonderoga.
I live in Port Henry.
We ate beef jerkey, turkey, and hamburgers for food and then me and my mom watched a movie.

CH Memorial Day Vacation

One really fun thing I did by myself was play in the hay barn.
I put a rope on the hay elevator and I swung off it and then I jumped off. I hurt my leg but I can still walk.
We cooked hamburgers and hotdogs outside on the fireplace. They tasted so good.
We played outside a lot. The weather was so nice.

BF Saw a Parade

The parade was on a hot day and it was crowded. Me and David and some friends went to see the parade in Crown Point.
I was playing at the parade and I got candy from one of those firetrucks.
I also got an American flag from a car that was handing out flags.
We went to see the fireworks by the bridge. They went on for a long time. They looked like popcorn in the sky.

ID Memorial Day Vacation

Some of my family went to the fair in Crown Point. I went on a ride. It spinned around and went higher and higher. My brothers went on the same ride. My sisters went on a ride that wouldn't be scary for them.
There was a band singing some songs and I got some ice cream there.
We also watched a movie called Highlander, it was pretty cool. One thing though, it was about immortals.

I got to sleep in the camper.
Tiffany made a fire with me and we made smores.
I just like the marshmellows best.
I was riding my skateboard and hurt my leg and twisted my ankle when I tried to do a trick.

I was up one morning because my dad wanted to take me on a trip to the fire department so I could be in a parade.
We got on the firetruck and buckled up and took off.
My dad handed me a water gun because we were going to spray people with water.
The firetruck in front of us had a hose that had brown water in it and it was spraying the kids at the parade.
We threw out candy and got some kids wet.

I was using firecrackers to throw at my brother and sister. I hit them but they didn't get hurt.
I used an arrow with a firework on it.
My family went down to the lake and saw fireworks. I saw a huge fireball in the sky.

I went swimming at the lake with Amanda and Haley and Johnathon and Diana.
The water was so cold. It was fun. We stayed there for a long time.

First, I told little red riding hood to put on this watch.

The wolf is hungry and he is trying to eat the people. He went after red riding hood and her grandma first but he was still hungry.
I don't want him to eat me.
So I grabbed him with my big, thick net.
He broke free and so I grabbed a rope.
I caught him and we brought him to the zoo.
At the zoo he got eaten by a gorilla and nobody saw it.

ID Plan to Capture a Wolf

Little red riding hood was bringing some food to her grandma but the wolf wanted to eat them.
I was going to save the day.
My plan was to capture the wolf because I heard he was going to attack.
I said first let make a net. Then lets hang it up with rope on a tree.
You will find the wolf and make him follow you.
The net will grab him and then he can't get us.
After he is captured we will move him far away to China.

So I came up with a plan to help her.

We put him in a cage and kept him as little red riding hoods pet wolf.

ID My Favorite Day is Friday

I think that Friday is my favorite day of the week because I get to have an ice cream party.
If I could be in charge of every day of the week I would be happy.
Here is how my week would go. First I would wake up and remember that today is Friday.
Then I would tell my parents and friends. We would get ready for our day.
We would get ready for the ice cream party at the end of the day.
We party, this is why Friday is my favorite day.

I don't have a favorite day. My favorite days are actually Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
I like those days because I can have pizza and I am at school on Friday and then at home Saturday and Sunday.
On Satuday I like to sleep in late. I get up at 10 and if you wake me up you are dead.
When I am awake I go play baseball, softball, play on my swingset, and make a sand castle.
I like to play outside with my friends.
Sometimes we go to the park or the beach on Sunday.

May 7th is my favorite day because it is my birthday.
When I wake I up that morning I will remember that it is my birthday.
Then I would go look at my birthday presents.

Today is Monday. I got out of bed and went to get my swimming clothes ready.
When I got outside I just realized I forgot my backpack inside. If I forget my swimming clothes I have to borrow. I don't like to borrow someone else's clothes.
I ran to get it then I was back out the door.

I wish every day was Friday because we eat pizza on Friday.
On Friday I would run to lunch. Me and my friends would get a large pizza.

I saw a Leprechaun in the woods. I told him to wish me to the rain bow so I could get the gold. He told me to look at a bird.

I found the rain bow in the woods. There was a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I stole the Irish gold.
I kept one piece of the gold. I gave the Leprechaun his gold back. He gave me one wish. I wish for a new snowboard. He said here you go.

One day I was walking on a trail and I saw a little person. I quietly walked up and grabbed him. It was a Leprechaun. He told me that my shoe was untied. I knew that he was trying to trick me so I put a pair of hand cuff on him. He gave me a pot of gold and I was happy.

I saw something and it was a Leprechaun outside. He left a note on my door. It said go into the kitchen. When I went to the kichen I saw gold in the kitchen in the frigrater. I saw two of the Leprechans and they said hi. I took their gold. They didn't mind. Now he is my best friend.

there but it was a decoy. I sprung a trap the Leprechaun said I did not see that coming.

If I had a Leprechaun he will have a rope. He ran to get away. He could not.
The Leprechaun gave me my reward but I wanted more. I let him go.
Then I caught another Leprechan. I am lucky. I got a lot of gold.

* Read aloud to your child every day. (NO matter how old they are.)
* See that he/she has a bed lamp and interesting materials to read nearby in a basket, or box.
* When having a child read to you, wait for the reader to try a new or challenging word.
* Praise the reader for using pictures, noticing mistakes, rereading and fixing mistakes.

When a reader is struggling, wait for the reader to try, then suggest one of the following:

* Read with your finger.
* Look at the picture.
* "Get your mouth ready for the first sound. How does the word start?"
* Ask "Does the word make sense?
Does it look right?
Can you find part of the word you know?
* Sometimes it is easier to start over from the beginning of the sentence.
* Skip the word and read to the end to find a clue.
